Abstrakty

Celem niniejszego artykułu jest analiza możliwości zmian znaczenia Specjalnych Praw Ciągnienia w Międzynarodowym Systemie Walutowym w kontekście wypełniania przez nie funkcji waluty międzynarodowej w sektorze publicznym (głównie waluty rezerwowej). Szczególny nacisk położono na ocenę historycznej roli SDR oraz możliwości jej zwiększenia w przyszłości. Podstawowe metody badawcze wykorzystane w pracy to studia światowej literatury oraz analiza danych statystycznych. Podstawowymi źródłami danych statystycznych były publikacje Międzynarodowego Funduszu Walutowego(abstrakt oryginalny)

The paper discusses the probability of altering the Special Drawing Rights status as a an international currency in the international monetary system. The main stress was put on the role of SDR in public sector (mainly as a reserve currency) in the historical perspective as well as its increase in the future. The paper is based on the international literature and statistical data. The main sources of necessary data were taken from publications delivered by the International Monetary Fund.(original abstract)
