Abstrakty

Celem opracowania jest analiza otwartości transgranicznej placówek usługowych w mieście podzielonym Gubin/Guben na granicy polsko-niemieckiej. Badaniem objęto 320 firm z sektora usług, zlokalizowanych zarówno w polskiej, jak i w niemieckiej części miasta. Analizie poddano lokalizację, rodzaj prowadzonej działalności gospodarczej oraz cechy transgranicznej otwartości firm (m.in.: posiadanie szyldu w języku kraju sąsiedniego, możliwość porozumienia w języku obcym, możliwość płatności w walucie kraju sąsiedniego), świadczące o nastawieniu się na klientów z drugiej strony granicy. Przeprowadzone badanie wykazało dużą asymetrię otwartości transgranicznej. Wyraźnie większą otwartością charakteryzowały się firmy po polskiej stronie, natomiast placówki usługowe po stronie niemieckiej w niewielkim stopniu wykazywały nastawienie na klientów ze strony polskiej(abstrakt oryginalny)

The aim of this study was to analyse the transborder openness of service providers in the divided city of Gubin/Guben on the Polish-German border. To assess the level of openness of firms to clients from the other side of the border, four transborder categories have been examined (e.g. offers in the language of the neighbour, the possibilities of payment in the neighbour's currency, the knowledge of the language). The analysis has shown a significant asymmetry in this respect. Whereas in the Polish part of the city the high level of transborder openness was observed, in the German unit the openness was hardly noticed(original abstract)
