Abstrakty

Światowe obroty handlowe zmniejszyły się drastycznie na przełomie 2008 i 2009 roku, co zostało określone w literaturze ekonomicznej jako wielkie załamanie handlu (ang. Great Trade Collapse). Jakkolwiek, zważywszy na okoliczności (globalny kryzys finansowy), samo zmniejszenie się międzynarodowych obrotów towarowych było dla większości ekonomistów czymś oczywistym, to skala tego zjawiska zaskoczyła obserwatorów. W rezultacie sformułowano wiele potencjalnych odpowiedzi na pytanie o przyczyny nadmiernego - w stosunku do zmiany światowej produkcji - spadku wolumenu handlu międzynarodowego. Celem niniejszego opracowania jest przedstawienie tych propozycji oraz wskazanie, które z nich najlepiej wyjaśniają załamanie handlu. W pierwszej części artykułu zaprezentowano zmiany zachodzące w obszarze wymiany międzynarodowej pod koniec 2008 i na początku 2009 roku. W kolejnej części przedstawiono najczęściej wymieniane przyczyny załamania handlu w omawianym okresie. (fragment tekstu)
