Abstrakty
The paper presents empirical tests of the relation between EBIT growth ratio and average return, covering the period 1999-2009. The analysis of linear dependence between EBIT growth ratio and return indicates the lack of substantial relationship. Moreover, the paper examines a simple fundamental strategy. The test shows that when portfolios are formed on EBIT growth ratio alone, abnormal returns are observed. The portfolio of high EBIT growth ratio outperformed the WIG index, generated a 38 per cent annual average return between 2000 and 2009.(original abstract)
