One of the biggest competitive challenges firms face is to how to pursue new opportunities and capabilities while simultaneously explore existing competencies successfully - that is organizational ambidexterity. It is surprising that, to date, a discussion of organizational ambidexterity measurement is not frequent in management literature - the absence we believe is unjustified. We argue that is important for doing empirical research. Taking a broad view of efficiency frontier, we propose measurement of organizational ambidexterity as two-dimensional process linking creative novelty and creative usefulness. Collectively, my arguments expand, and in some respects, open new windows into the study of organizational ambidexterity conceptualization as well as operationalization of this construct.(original abstract)
Jedno z największych wyzwań stojących przed współczesnymi przedsiębiorstwami polega na tworzeniu nowych szans i zdolności wraz z równowoczesnym wykorzystywaniem istniejących kompetencji, czyli zbudowaniu organizacji oburęcznej.
