Abstrakty
The main interest of this article is to explore autonomy of individuals in autonomous work teams, or the paradox of autonomy in self-managing work teams. In this article the authors: 1) show relationship's complexity in such work teams; 2) indicate possibilities of impacting and influencing the results (on team and individual level of effectiveness) taking into consideration the relationship's complexity that stems from different levels of autonomy (variables and moderators); and 3) determine the importance of the described paradox for management practices.
