The leading cites of Russian Federation where the population exceeds 100 thousand inhabitants quickly regained its economy having the well-paid jobs, the differentiable labor market attract manpower that in a complex demographic situation exacerbates social and spatial polarization not only between regions but also between the centers territorial development, which they are. The study of extensive statistics on cities of the Russian Federation with population over 100 thousand people has allowed to identity trends in the changing of their participation in various economic activities.(author's abstract)
