Abstrakty

Each activity undertaken by man involves some risk. The risk in question poses a threat not only to human health, life or activities but also to human beings' environment. As a result, deterioration of the natural environment is observed. Increase in pollution of particular components of the natural environment generates some growing interest in ecological issues. Numerous actions are undertaken worldwide in order to promote healthy natural environment - the environment that would be man-friendly. Development of processes of environmental risk management is an example of such actions. Processes of risk management were initiated in the United States and quickly spread to other areas of the world. Originally, they did not cover the natural environment focusing exclusively on corporate economic activities. However, as a result of constant increase in environmental pollution a necessity to adjust the processes in question to environmental protection was finally noticed. Hence, at present, processes of risk management affect the natural environment that is inseparably connected with an enterprise to much greater extent. The above processes are referred to as environmental risk management. (fragment of text)
