Abstrakty

Rozwój preferencyjnych porozumień handlowych (PTA) jest charakterystyczną tendencją występującą w gospodarce światowej po II wojnie światowej. Niemniej nie wszystkie kraje uczestniczą w tym procesie w równym stopniu. Przykładem kraju prowadzącego ostrożną politykę wobec PTA jest Japonia, która dopiero na przełomie XX i XXI wieku zaczęła na szerszą skalę interesować się tworzeniem preferencyjnych obszarów współpracy gospodarczej. Autor niniejszego opracowania wskazuje przyczyny, przedstawia ewolucję oraz skutki zmiany zagranicznej polityki handlowej Japonii w obszarze preferencyjnych porozumień handlowych. Podjęte badania prowadzone były w oparciu o metodę studiów literaturowych oraz analizy przyczynowo-skutkowej. Badania potwierdzają tezę o tym, że zmiana polityki wobec preferencyjnych porozumień handlowych była podyktowana chęcią ograniczenia strat z tytułu nieuczestniczenia w porozumieniach oraz chęcią osiągania korzyści ekonomicznych wynikających z aktywnego formułowania i wdrażania postanowień umów preferencyjnych(abstrakt oryginalny)

The development of preferential trade agreements (PTAs) is a characteristic trend in the global economy after World War II. However, not all countries are involved in this process to the same extent. One of the examples of a country with a cautious policy towards PTAs is Japan, which only from the turn of the twentieth and twenty-first century began to show an interest in the creation of the preferential areas of economic cooperation. The author of the study indicates reasons, presents the evolution and assesses effects of changes in Japanese foreign trade policy towards preferential trade agreements. The study was carried out using the method of literature studies and casual analysis. Research confirms the thesis that the change in policy towards preferential trade agreements in Japan was dictated by the desire to reduce losses due to non-participation in the agreements and by the desire to gain economic benefits arising from the active formulation and implementation of such agreements(original abstract)
