Effective knowledge transfer among organizational units of multinational enterprises (MNEs) is a significant determinant of their competitiveness. The transfer can be disturbed by numerous barriers both those that usually appear in knowledge sharing and barriers specific for MNE knowledge transfer. The paper reviews selected concepts of sources of barriers to knowledge transfer within MNE and actions to overcome these barriers.(original abstract)
