Cyberbullying is formally defined as the willful and repeated harm inflicted by a person to another person through the use of computers, cell phones and other such electronic devices [Patchin, 2014]. One of its chief avenues is the ever-growing social media. Social media has undoubtedly advanced communication to unexpected levels in previous decades and centuries. By clicking the mouse or tapping on the keyboard, users can connect with family, friends, colleagues and almost anyone, regardless of physical distance and differences in time zones(fragment of text)

Cyberprzemoc jest jednym z głównych problemów dzisiejszych szkół podstawowych. Rodzi to konieczność zastosowania przez szkoły innowacyjnych działań, których celem jest zapobiegania incydentom cyberprzemocy. Pomimo, że prześladowanie w rozumieniu ogólnym nie zostało jeszcze wyeliminowane przez większość instytucji edukacyjnych, istnieje rosnąca potrzeba radzenia sobie z jej szczególnym przypadkiem, jakim jest cyberprzemoc, zwłaszcza ze względu na jej atypowy i szkodliwy wpływ na emocjonalność dziecka. Co więcej, w przeciwieństwie do prześladowań tzw. twarzą w twarz, cyber-tyrani mają znaczącą przewagę nad swoim realnym odpowiednikiem, tj. są niewidoczni. Władze instytucji edukacyjnych na świecie, na przykład Walii, Australii czy Stanów Zjednoczonych, uznały cyberprzemoc za współ- czesną kwestię konieczną do rozwiązania. Opracowano więc i wdrożono zasady zapobiegania cyberprzemocy. Stosuje się wiele metod oraz strategii działania i nadal tworzone są nowe. W niniejszej pracy przedstawiono kwestię cyberprzemocy oraz zaprezentowano stosowane strategie prewencyjne(abstrakt oryginalny)
