Efektywne leczenie bólu to podstawowe prawo pacjenta, dlatego uśmierzanie bólu jest bardzo istotnym zagadnieniem w pracy każdej pielęgniarki, a szczególnie tej, która sprawuje opiekę nad pacjentem w okresie pooperacyjnym. Celem badania była ocena jakości opieki pooperacyjnej w zakresie opieki pielęgniarskiej z uwzględnieniem aspektów takich jak: Komunikowanie, Działanie, Zaufanie i Środowisko z perspektywy oceny pacjenta i pielęgniarki.(fragment tekstu)

Admission: Relieving the postoperative pain and alleviating patient's suffering are integral part of modern surgical treatment and it depends on cooperation of interdisciplinary group. The aim of analgesic treatment is to create the best conditions in the patient's healing process that simultaneously prevents the occurrence of early and late postoperative complications. Adhibition of regular monitoring of every patient's pain level, patient education about capabilities and methods of postoperative pain relief can improve the quality of pain therapy, and consequently reduce the risk of complications and lower the cost of treatment. Nursing staff plays an important role in this process. Purpose of work: The purpose of research is quality assessment of postoperative care having regard to such aspects like: Communication, Action, Confidence and the Environment from the perspective of patient's and nurse's. Material and methods Research was conducted among patients and nurses from Departament of General Surgery using The Scale of Clinical Indicators of Postoperative Pain Treatment Quality. The study involved 77 people, including 62 patients and 15 nurses.Results and conclusions: The studies showed, that the quality of postoperative pain treatment expressed on the basis of average values was 61,66 points (on a scale 14- 70) among patients and 48,46 (on a scale 12-60) among nursing staff. The sense of satisfaction with postoperative pain relief was high and amounted 8,97 among the patients and 6,13 among the nurses (on a scale 0-10) The aspects of Confidence was rated highest by patients, and the aspect of Action was rated highest by nurses.(original abstract)
