Abstrakty

Mimo że w dobie kryzysu gospodarczego do głosu dochodzą różne koncepcje, częściej niezgodne z realizowanymi dotychczas założeniami, idea rozwoju zrównoważonego i trwałego bynajmniej nie straciła na aktualności. Przeciwnie, kryzys unaocznił, jak dalece rozwój rzeczywisty jest niezrównoważony i dał nowy impuls do rozważenia, rewizji dotychczasowych działań i nowych inicjatyw, mających sprostać aktualnym wyzwaniom. Artykuł omawia wyniki ostatniego przeglądu strategii trwałego rozwoju UE i związane z nią zamierzenia oraz przedstawia stan wdrażania tego rodzaju strategii krajowych. W trzeciej części, dotyczącej stanu realizacji strategii w Polsce, omówiono niektóre konsekwencje braku tego dokumentu i trudności, jakie mogą towarzyszyć przygotowaniom a następnie realizacji długoterminowej strategii rozwoju kraju. Although various conceptions are voiced in the days of economic crisis, and they are often contrary to the current assumptions, the idea of sustainable and durable development is still valid. Just the opposite, the crisis has indicated to what extent actual development is non-sustainable and gave us a new impetus to reconsider and revise our previous actions and develop new initiatives intended to face our current challenges. This paper discusses the results of the recent review of the EU durable development strategy and of the related intentions, presenting the status of the implementation of respective national strategies. The third part of the paper, referring to the status of the Polish strategy implementation, discusses certain consequences of the lack of a strategy document and the difficulties that can accompany the preparations to and the execution of a long-term national development strategy.
