Abstrakty

W artykule omówiono źródła rozwoju w perspektywie ekonomii innego kanonu. Możliwości rozwojowe omówione zostały w kontekście gospodarczej integracji. Na tej podstawie wysunięto wniosek, że problemy rozwojowe w Unii Europejskiej wynikają z niekorzystnej struktury produkcyjnej w państwach peryferyjnych UE, której sprzyja przyjęty model integracji. Konwergencja w UE oraz w innych ugrupowaniach integracyjnych może być uzyskana tylko poprzez rozwijanie we wszystkich krajach sektorów produkcji z rosnącymi przychodami marginalnymi. Liberalizacja rynków i spontaniczna dyfuzja innowacji nie jest w stanie sprostać temu zadaniu, konieczna jest natomiast aktywna polityka innowacyjna integrujących się państw. (abstrakt oryginalny)

The article discusses the sources of economic development in the perspective of The Other Canon. Development opportunities are discussed in the context of economic integration. On this basis, it is concluded that the development problems in the European Union stem from the unfavorable production structure in the peripheral countries of the EU. Convergence in the EU and in other integration areas can be achieved only by developing sectors of production with increasing marginal returns evenly spaced in every state. Markets liberalization and spontaneous diffusion of innovations are not able to meet that challenge, therefore it is necessary to undertake active innovation policy among all integrating countries.
