Abstrakty

W powyższym kontekście celem niniejszego artykułu jest zaprezentowanie foresightu jako narzędzia zarządzania strategicznego, a także identyfikacja specyfiki jego wykorzystania w planowaniu rozwoju miast. Do przygotowania niniejszego opracowania wykorzystano studia przypadków, prezentujące konkretne przykłady zastosowania foresightu w zarządzaniu miastem. Zostały one wybrane spośród projektów uwzględnionych w raporcie pt. "An Initial Assessmentof Territorial forward Planning/Foresight Projects in The European Union" [2011, aneks 1, ss. 1-95]. Raport ten powstał w celu sformułowania zaleceń dotyczących przydatności wykorzystania foresightu terytorialnego jako narzędzia użytecznego do podejmowania decyzji przez władze lokalne i regionalne w krajach członkowskich Unii Europejskiej.(fragment tekstu)

The increasing popularity of foresight studies in the world, as well as in Poland, means that they are gaining in importance as a tool to anticipate the future, including in relation to territorial units, such as regions, cities and municipalities. The aim of the paper is to evaluate the usefulness of foresight as a tool of contemporary and future management of the city. Based on the analysis of the literature shows the spirit and scope of this method. Developed by the author of the case studies in combination with selected foreign literature studies were used to assess the use of foresight in planning the development of Polish cities under the current and the next few years.(original abstract)
