Abstrakty

W ostatnich latach coraz częściej pisze się o nowej erze w gospodarce - gospodarce postindustrialnej, w której państwa w sferze działań makroekonomicznych mają coraz mniejsze możliwości. Za wszelką cenę starają się nie dopuścić do odpływu kapitału międzynarodowego oraz stwarzają warunki mikroekonomiczne, aby posiadacze kapitału zainwestowali na ich terenie. Jednym z takich rozwiązań jest ustanowienie Specjalnej Strefy Ekonomicznej, oferującej inwestorom atrakcyjne warunki, które podnosiłyby efektywność ulokowanych środków. W artykule poruszono rolę kapitału inwestycyjnego ulokowanego w SSE w budowie wzrostu gospodarczego, a także uwypuklono rolę, jaką odgrywa on w różnych krajach. Przykładami empirycznymi, jakimi się posłużono, są kraje Dalekiego Wschodu, Ameryki Środkowej oraz Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej. (abstrakt oryginalny)

In the age of global economy, the possession of unique knowledge and high specialization skills is the key to progress. Under such circumstances, running a business means gaining competitive advantage, especially in terms of intellectual potential. Five sectors: high-tech industry, R&D, education, business services and information technology play the main role in building of the new economy, this is of course due to investments. For developing countries, the main way to attract investors is to a establish special economic zone. The author of the article explores the idea whether investments in SEZ can be a basis for stable long term GDP growth. (original abstract)
