The article discusses the essence of interpretation and systematization of proportions appearing in the socialist economy. In order to present the problem of proportions against the background of characteristic features of the socialist national economy the author has analyzed the economic literature on the subject available in the Soviet Union focussing his attention on handbooks of political economy and planning of the national economy. Presentation of various interpretations of the subject proves that the problem has neither been comprehensively analyzed not system atized. Accordingly the article sets forth to present a full picture of the system of general economic and detailed proportions occuring in the socialist economy combined with a comprehensive discussion on the system.(original abstract)
