Czasy współczesne wyznaczają kolejny rozdział w życiu społeczeństw. Poszerza się zakres możliwości dotyczących sposobów organizacji życia osobistego, przynosząc różnorodność form i sposobów organizacji bliskich związków. Małżeństwo przestało być jedyną dopuszczalną formą. Jednostki mogą żyć w związku małżeńskim, kohabitacyjnym czy typu LAT (Living Apart Together), mogą być bezdzietnymi małżeństwami z wyboru, a mogą też pozostać singlami. Przedstawiany artykuł zawiera analizę wpływu zmian społecznych na znaczenie małżeństwa, rozpowszechnianie się kohabitacji i relacji, gdy para nie dzieli wspólnego mieszkania i gospodarstwa domowego (LAT). Contemporary times bring new chapter in the life of societies. There is much more opportunities to organize personal life what produces diversity of forms and ways of organizing intimate unions. Marriage is not longer the only allowed form of being together. Individuals can live in marriage union or in cohabitation or in LAT (Living Apart Together). They can stay childfree marriage and stay single as well. Presented paper contains analysis of social changes' influence on meaning of marriage, dissemination of cohabitation and close relations without having one address and joint budget (LAT).
