Abstrakty

W artykule przedstawiono zmiany relacji funkcjonalno-przestrzennych w obszarze kontinuum miejsko-wiejskiego metropolii Berlina zachodzące w latach 1990-2004. Ukazano uwarunkowania historyczne, osadnicze oraz prawne polityki rozwojowej w Niemczech. Szczegółową analizą objęto zmiany strukturalne w zakresie demografii, struktury zatrudnienia oraz użytkowania ziemi.(abstrakt oryginalny)

The urban-rural continuum of Berlin metropolis is an example for the mutual ability of a big city and its surrounding for functional complementing, based on existing natural, social and economic potential. The city of Berlin and its Branderburg background, after 45 years of spatial isolation, can finally establish functional relations. Berlin with its economic, scientific and cultural functions is a core of the whole area. Berlin's surrounding plays supplementary role for the metropolis. It fulfils functions and tasks that cannot be realized in the city, but are still connected with agglomeration, for example recreation, green housing, space-consuming business activities. The paper deals with change in functional-spatial relations in the town-rural continuum of Berlin metropolis in the years 1990-2004. Then there were pre-sented historical, settlement and legal conditions of development politics in Ger-many. Detailed analysis embraced the structural change in the sphere of demography, employment and land use structures.(original abstract)
