Abstrakty

Badanie SHARE: 50+ w Europie obejmuje szerokie spektrum dziedzin życia, dzięki czemu umożliwia określenie czynników wpływających na samopoczucie osób po pięćdziesiątym roku życia. Artykuł jest przeglądem kluczowych pozycji literatury, które powstały na podstawie badania w temacie dobrostanu i podsumowanie płynących z nich najważniejszych wniosków. Jak pokazują autorzy, warunki życia we wczesnych latach dzieciństwa nie pozostają bez wpływu na samopoczucie w późniejszym okresie, choć ich znaczenie nie jest tak istotne jak bieżący status społeczno-ekonomiczny. Gdy pogarszający się wraz z wiekiem stan zdrowia negatywnie oddziałuje na jakość życia osób starszych, to częsty kontakt z bliskimi oraz aktywny udział w społeczeństwie w formie aktywności na rynku pracy, wolontariatu czy uczęszczania do klubu towarzyskiego pozytywnie wpływają na samopoczucie, szczególnie po przejściu na emeryturę. SHARE 50+ in Europe covers wide range of aspects of living, enabling researchers to specify determinants of well-being of the 50+ population. This literature review aims at summarizing key conclusions of well-being studies based on the SHARE data. Researchers indicate that although early childhood living conditions influence well-being in later life, current socio-economic status is far more important. While deterioration of health, which is a natural consequence of ageing, negatively affects well-being in older age, regular contact with relatives and social participation, such as labour market activity, voluntary work or social club involvement have positive impact on well-being, especially after retirement.
