The purpose of this article is the comparison of selected European countries in terms of quality of life of children aged 8, 10 and 12 years. The analysis includes the following countries: Estonia, Germany, Norway, Poland, Romania, Spain, Turkey, the United Kingdom. There was a survey on the quality of life of children in these countries, as a part of the International Survey of Children's Well-being Children's Worlds (ISCWeB). Psychometric scales were used to evaluate the quality of life: OLS (Overall Life Satisfaction), SLSS (Student Life Satisfaction Scale), BMSLSS (Brief Multidimensional Student Life Satisfaction Scale). Their construction is based on various aspects of life which is very important in the proper assessment of child well-being. Such areas were taken into account to construct these scales: family, school, friends, environment and "myself"(original abstract)
