W wielu pracach introligatorskich istnieje potrzeba składania, wzdłuż prostych linii, papieru lub tektury. W celu realizacji tego zgięcia wykonuje się osłabienie sztywności materiału różnymi metodami. Jedną z nich jest bigowanie. Proces bigowania realizowany może być ręcznie lub z wykorzystaniem maszyn bigujących. Cechy konstrukcyjne narzędzi i parametry technologiczne procesu decydują o jakości wykonanego bigu umożliwiającego bezproblemowe wykonanie zgięcia tektury. W artykule dokonano analizy tych czynników oraz przedstawiono wyniki zrealizowanych badań wpływu wybranych z nich na jakość bigi dla metody wykonywania wielu big w procesie ciągłym bigowania tektury o gramaturze 1200 g/m². Within a number of book binding works there exists the need for the bending of paper or cardboard along straight lines. In order to achieve the above a variety of methods are applied for the needs of the weakening of the material within the area where the bend is to be formed. One of such methods is also known as cardboard creasing. The process of creasing may be executed manually or with the application of various creasing machinery and devices. Structural characteristics of the tools as well as technological parameters of the process impose influence upon the quality of the executed creasing which allows for the problemless execution of the bend of the cardboard. What has been executed within the article is the analysis of such factors along with the presentation of results of the executed examinations with regards to some of such factors upon the quality of creasing with the focus on the method of execution of a number of creases in continuous process upon the cardboard of thickness amounting to 1200 g/m².
