Abstrakty

The article's subject matter is the problems of attitudes of Polish and foreign students as well as post-graduates, representatives of the generation Y, towards academic teachers aged 65+. The article consists of the theoretical part, where the author analyses the problems of attitudes and stereotypes towards mature individuals, and the empirical one, devoted to discussion of the findings of surveys carried out in the group of 344 respondents, students of public and non-public, Polish and foreign, universities as well as post-graduates. The obtained research findings indicate the diversified perception of knowledge workers, the academic teachers, by representatives of the generation Y. They confirm the previously formulated thesis of the non-homogeneity of this generation. However, the obtained data generally do not empower to ascertain the existence of negative stereotypes in case of the generation Y in terms of their perception of mature people, their lecturers.
