Abstrakty

Celem artykułu jest wskazanie i opisanie wpływu migracji na rynek pracy. Artykuł skupia się na efektach imigracji, pomijając skutki emigracji, ze względu na aktualność tej tematyki w dyskursie publicznym w Polsce i innych krajach rozwiniętych. Praca ma charakter przede wszystkim teoretyczny, niemniej zaprezentowane rozważania będą poparte danymi empirycznymi. Autor wykorzystuje metodę analizy i krytyki piśmiennictwa oraz wnioskowanie. Na podstawie przeprowadzonej analizy Autor dochodzi do wniosku, że opinie o negatywnym wpływie imigrantów na rynek pracy kraju przyjmującego nie znajdują potwierdzenia ani w teorii ekonomii, ani w danych empirycznych. The aim of this paper is to examine the impact of migration on the labour market. The article focuses on the effects of immigration and ignores the consequences of emigration due to the topicality of the former issue in the public discourse in Poland and other developed countries. The article is mainly theoretical, but presented considerations are illustrated by the relevant empirical data. It uses a critical appraisal of literature and reasoning. Based on the analysis, the author concludes that the opinions about the negative impact of immigrants on the labor market of the host country, are neither confirmed by economic theory nor by empirical data.
