Problems of international trade in services are gaining increasing attention in the literature on international economic relations. However, analyses usually concern a narrow scope of services, namely non-factorial ones, and so do not fully reveal trends in total services, which include much more components. This chapter presents a broad classification of services, which covers both non-factorial (traditional services also known as pure services) and factorial services (accompanying movement of factors of production, namely capital and labour) in international trade. It shows the structure of these total services on the example of the EU's exports. The conducted analysis demonstrates that in the broad approach the value of international trade in services is twice the value of the services in their narrow definition. Furthermore, it shows trends and transformations in the structure of separate types of factorial and non-factorial services in 2004-2013.(original abstract)

Problemom międzynarodowego handlu usługami poświęca się w literaturze z dziedziny międzynarodowych stosunków gospodarczych coraz więcej uwagi. Analizy dotyczą jednak wąskiego ujęcia usług, gdyż odnoszą się tylko do usług nieczynnikowych. Sytuacja ta nie w pełni ukazuje tendencje w handlu usługami ogółem, które są bardziej złożoną kategorią. W tej części pracy przedstawiono klasyfikację usług w szerokim ujęciu, które obejmuje zarówno usługi nieczynnikowe (usługi tradycyjne, tak zwane czyste), jaki i czynnikowe (usługi towarzyszące przemieszczaniu się czynników produkcji, czyli pracy i kapitału). Następnie zaprezentowano strukturę tych usług ogółem na przykładzie eksportu Unii Europejskiej. Z analizy wynika, że w szerokim ujęciu wartość międzynarodowej wymiany usług jest dwukrotnie większa od wartości usług w wąskiej definicji. Ukazano tendencje i przekształcenia w strukturze wyodrębnionych rodzajów usług czynnikowych i nieczynnikowych w latach 2004-2013.(abstrakt oryginalny)
