Abstrakty

W dniu 2 grudnia 1916 r. niemiecki okręt podwodny SM U-72, dowodzony przez Ernsta Kraffta, zatopił Palermo, włoski statek handlowy płynący z Nowego Jorku do Genui z ładunkiem koni i amunicji. Atak torpedowy miał miejsce w pobliżu wybrzeża katalońskiego 25 mil od Przylądka Św. Sebastiana na Morzu Śródziemnym. W roku 1949, trzydzieści trzy lata później, Josep Pla, najwybitniejszy pisarz kataloński, opublikował opowiadanie oparte na tych faktach, zatytułowane Un de Begur [Jeden z Begur]. On 2nd December 1916, the German submarine SM U-72, commanded by Ernst Krafft, sank Palermo, an Italian merchant vessel going from New York to Genoa with a cargo of horses and war material. The torpedo attack took place near the Catalonian coast 25 miles off Cape St. Sebastian. In 1949, thirty-three years later, Josep Pla, the most outstanding Catalonian writer, published a short story based on these facts entitled Un de Begur [One from Begur]. (original abstract)
