Abstrakty
The aim of the study is to identify the quintessence and needs for multi-level approach in researching management problems. The article presents the basic assumptions in multi-level research. There are also presented research areas using multilevel approach, that is, organizational learning, leadership, routines, capabilities, dynamic capabilities and at the end the study located in evolutionary and co-evolutionary epistemology. The most important conclusion from the study is that the multilevel approach can determine the source of contextual relationships between constructs across different levels and explain why these relationships exist.
