Czy nasz kraj jest dobrze do niego przygotowany? Zagadnienie to podejmuje niniejsze opracowanie, którego celem jest przedstawienie i ocena działań w obszarze przygotowania polskiej polityki rynku pracy do realizacji Europejskiej Strategii Zatrudnienia. European Strategy of Employment is the basic area for coordination of national employment policies of the European Union members. The process of standarisation of employment policies necessary for realisation of the European Strategy of Employment ecompasses new member countries, which join the EU in 2004, Poland including. Is our country well prepared for it? This issue is being discussed in the study which aims at presenting and estimating activities within the area of preparing the Polish labour market for realisation of the European Strategy of Employment. In this paper have been discussed procedures of formation and basie content of documents necessary for implementation in Poland the European Strategy of Employment (including the National Strategy of Growth of Employment and Development of Human Resources. National Plan of Activities in Favour of Employment, National Plan of Development, and the Sector Operation Programme "Human Resources Development"), evaluation of Polish employment policy, prepared by the European Commission and Polish government, and the suggested changes of organisation and functioning of Polish labour market in the EU. The evaluation of preparations for implementing in Poland the European Strategy of Employment in three areas: planning and programming. institutional. and projecting ones is included in the summary.
