Abstrakty

Po roku 2008 sektor publiczny w wielu krajach powiększył się przede wszystkim, choć nie wyłącznie, w wyniku dokapitalizowania banków. Niniejszy artykuł stanowi próbę przedstawienia zakrojonej na szeroką skalę nacjonalizacji na Węgrzech na tle europejskiego trendu. Zdaniem autorki, mimo wielu podobieństw odnośnie do sektorów, metod czy deklarowanych celów, przemiany własnościowe są w tym szczególnym przypadku nieodłączną częścią systemowej polityki rządu, dążącej do wzmocnienia roli państwa, centralizacji procesów decyzyjnych oraz redystrybucji bogactwa.(abstrakt oryginalny)

Public ownership has expanded in many countries since 2008, mainly but not exclusively by means of bank recapitalizations. The paper compares the large scale Hungarian nationalizations with this European trend. It argues that despite many similar elements regarding sectors, methods and even governmental objectives in general, ownership changes in this particular case are integral parts of a comprehensive governmental policy, aimed at expanding the role of the state, centralizing decision-making and redistributing wealth.(original abstract)
