Głównym celem pracy jest ocena branży budowlanej w zakresie ustawicznego kształcenia zawodowego pracowników. Innym celem jest empiryczna weryfikacją przydatności modyfikowanego estymatora syntetycznego w badaniu reprezentacyjnym ustawicznego szkolenia zawodowego pracowników w 2002 r. (fragment tekstu)

The problem of insufficient number of sample observations representing a given population domain of interest can be solved by applying small domain estimation. Imperfection of one method, called synthetic estimation, could be improved through two-stage estimation procedure. The first stage consists in applying various multivariate methods in order to identify the degree of similarity between sample units from the investigated domain and sample units representing other domains. In the second stage, those domains which turned out to be similar to the domain of interest are used to provide sample information. Authors present the results of the suggested procedure in an analysis of the results of Continuous Vocational Training Survey of enterprises conducted in the Province of Gdansk. (original abstract)
