When the Vultures go Extinct

Abstrakty
A vulture, a specialized scavenger, has the worst reputation of all birds. Vultures play a very important role in the functioning of nature. They clean up the environment from the potential threat of diseases, allow the circulation of matter in nature. We have also a historic debt to vultures, as early hominids used these birds to locate the carrion. Today, vultures are in danger of extinction, and this can have a knock-on effect on other species and trigger changes in nature. (original abstract)
