The aim of this paper is to examine the role of ICT (information and communication technology) in the governance of modern e-healthcare organization, i.e., hospital from the viable system theory (VST) perspective. Discussions on ICT use and governance by e-healthcare organizations have focused on theoretical problems such as autopoiesis and viable system development as well as on practical issues, such as development of the necessaiy technological infrastructure post-exploitation utilization process to support the e-healthcare organization sustainability initiatives in healthcare asset management (HAM) system. The discussion on system theory is further supplemented by the visuali-zation of healthcare organization processes and presentation of selected system. Finally, the conclusions concerning IT governance at healthcare organization have been formulated. (original abstract)
