W artykule ukazano rolę sił zbrojnych w państwie z perspektywy głównych nurtów teorii stosunków cywilno-wojskowych. Stosunki cywilno-wojskowe stanowią interdyscyplinarną subdyscyplinę, która koncentruje się głównie na roli sił zbrojnych w państwie oraz ich miejscu i relacjach ze społeczeństwem. Obejmują one całe spektrum relacji pomiędzy rządem, społeczeństwem i siłami zbrojnymi. Ich istotę w społeczeństwach demokratycznych stanowi odpolitycznienie wojska, jego neutralność w kwestiach polityki państwa i podporządkowanie władzom cywilnym, które stanowią instytucjonalną formę wyrazu woli społeczeństwa. Analitycy stosunków cywilnowojskowych zwracają uwagę na szereg atrybutów niezbędnych dla sprawowania efektywnej demokratycznej kontroli nas siłami zbrojnymi. Często wskazuje się na reformy w sferze konstytucyjnej, administracyjnej, ekonomicznej, strukturalnej oraz społecznej, które pomocne są w osiąganiu zachodnich standardów stosunków cywilno-wojskowych. In the article there was showed the role of armed strengths in the state with perspective of main currents of the theory of the civil and military relations. The Civil and military relations state the interdisciplinary subdiscipline which focuses mainly on the role of armed strengths as well as their place and relations with society. They include the whole spectrum of the relations r among the government, the society and the armed strengths. Their essential matters in the democratic societies are the depoliticize of army, the neutrality of the state policy and the subordination of the civil administration which makes up the institutional form of the society will. The analysts of the civil and military relations pay the attention for many indispensable attributes helpful in the effective democratic control under the army. There was often showed on some reforms in constitutional, administrative, economic, structural and social sphere which are helpful in achieving the western standards of the civil and military relations.(original abstract)
