Abstrakty

Wspieranie innowacyjności jest oczywistym kierunkiem rozwoju współczesnych gospodarek opartych na wiedzy. Innowacje o różnorodnym charakterze sprzyjają zrównoważonemu rozwojowi, poprawie jakości życia, zmieniają rynek pracy, a także prowadzą do wzmacniania konkurencyjności regionu i kraju. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie wyników analizy prowadzonej z perspektywy wysokości finansowania badań i innowacji w sektorze transportu w Unii Europejskiej, z rozróżnieniem źródeł publicznych i prywatnych. W artykule dokonano przeglądu aktualnych programów rozwoju innowacji w transporcie w Unii Europejskiej oraz wykorzystano wyniki badań i analiz pozwalających na zbadanie trendów w zakresie wysokości wydatków na badania i rozwój w transporcie. Ponadto, na podstawie najnowszych dostępnych danych statystycznych, oszacowano poziom finansowania badań i rozwoju na szczeblu poszczególnych krajów w ujęciu gałęziowym oraz z podziałem na wydatki publiczne i wydatki przedsiębiorstw. Dowiedziono nieskutecznej polityki innowacji na szczeblu UE oraz ścisłej relacji między wydatkami a efektami w postaci wzrostu poziomu innowacyjności poszczególnych krajów(abstrakt autora)

Supporting innovation is a clear line of action of modern knowledge economies. Various types of innovations contribute to sustainable development, an increase of quality of life and changes on labour market and lead to strengthening the region's or country's competitiveness. The objective of the article is to present results of the analysis conducted from the perspective of the amount of funding for research and innovation in the transport sector in the European Union, taking into account the distinction between public and private sources. In the article current policy programmes for the development of innovations have been reviewed and additionally results of studies and analyses of trends in terms of the amount of expenditure on research and development in transport have been examined. Moreover on the base of the latest available statistical data it is evaluated the level of public and enterprises R&D funding in different countries and specific transport modes. Ineffective innovation policy at the EU level and close relationship between expenditures and effects in the form of increase in the level of innovation of individual countries has been proved.(author's abstract)
