In the article, a two-stagemethod of non-photorealistic rendering is presented. In the first stage, short segments of straight lines described by vectors and tangential to the object contours are generated. On this basis, a vector image is created with the use of vector space of increments. This image can be a vector representation of the object contours in the picture. (original abstract)
