Knowledge management is seen as a process that has a positive effect on the functioning of the organization, achieve competitive advantage and rapid response to changes in the business environment. However, there may be occasions when the management expertise will be exposed to conflicts arising from the contradictory demands of intellectual property rights and individual privacy and the need to protect sensitive data for the organization or being important for national security. Knowledge is often distorted, liquidated or appropriated for personal reasons or organizational. This article describes the ethical paradoxes of knowledge management.(original abstract)
