Abstrakty

Artykuł dotyczy celowości i możliwości wykorzystania chmury obliczeniowej w przedsiębiorstwach. Autorka przybliżyła pojęcie chmury, jej podstawowe cechy oraz omówiła modele świadczenia usług w chmurze. W dalszej części skupiła się na zaletach i korzyściach, jakie wdrożenie tego rozwiązania może przynieść przedsiębiorstwom. Dokonała także analizy słabych stron oraz barier powstrzymujących organizacje przed wyborem tej technologii. Rozważania teoretyczne wzbogaciła przytaczając wyniki badań empirycznych. Następnie scharakteryzowała światowy, europejski oraz krajowy rynek cloud computing, zestawiając aktualne dane statystyczne, dotyczące jego wielkości, usługodawców, usługobiorców oraz szacunków na przyszłość. Abstract. The article concerns the aim and possibility of using cloud computing in enterprises. The author determined the concept of cloud computing, its basic features and discussed models of services provided in the cloud. The next part focused on the advantages and benefits which implementation of this solution can bring to the companies. The analysis of weaknesses and barriers preventing organizations from choosing this technology has been made. Theoretical considerations were enriched by presenting the results of empirical researches. Then the author characterized the global, European and national cloud computing market, comparing current statistics relative to its size, service providers, recipients and forecasts for the future.
