This paper presents the results of operating research of the two-source heat acquisition system used to prepare hot tap water and central heating water in social and technical premises of the free stall barn. The direct heat source was the system comprising the liquid solar flat-plate collector with an area of 51.97 m2 placed on the roof of the barn and four ground heat exchangers with a depth of 50 m each. The system was also equipped with the compressor heat pump of 6kW. During the research, i.e. from January 2013 to December 2013 the solar collector generated 15.51 GJ of heat and 14.26 GJ of this amount were transferred to the ground. During the second phase of the research that began on 1 October 2013 heat was started to be gained from the ground. As of 31 December 2013 12.57 GJ of heat were obtained. The system operated in a way that allowed the acquisition of heat from the solar panel in summer and from ground wells in winter, but those two heat sources were combined in a way that it was possible to redirect the excessive amount of the unused heat produced by the solar panel to the ground in summer(original abstract)
