Financial Strategies in Family Business in Mexico

Abstrakty
This research talks about the financial strategies used by family businesses in Mexico. Statistically, family businesses contribute 52% of Mexico's gross domestic product; if one disappears, 1 out of every 3 MIPYM companies can be found: loss of employment, not supporting PIB, crime increases, lack of basic food basket and generation of Poverty in the city, state and country. The goal is to identify the strategies used by companies that have had a successful participation in the country. The techniques used are documentation and analysis. The topics considered in this paper are those that stand out: the use of corporate governance, financial strategies and the succession plan in family businesses. The results show the tools to elaborate the financial strategies, the process to establish the corporate governance, and the succession plan. It was concluded that entrepreneurs seek the transcendence of the company, the main objective is not to seek large profits in the short term, its reinvestment and slow growth planned in a long-term. This research is expected to be a continuation for many researchers in this important phenomenon in Mexico. (original abstract)
