The article focuses on the deconstruction of Radical Buddhism, and counters the predominant vision of Buddhism being about peace and understanding. Moreover, the article dives into the socio-political situation of Sri Lanka and Myanmar, and tries to explain the rise of the radical form of this religion. Therefore, based on the research, it can be understood why Radical Buddhism rose to power in countries like Sri Lanka and Myanmar. (original abstract)
