Abstrakty

Artykuł na ma celu przedstawienie globalnego problemu pustych kontenerów w transporcie morskim oraz koncepcji i prototypów pierwszych składanych kontenerów, które w obecnych czasach, po licznych modyfikacjach wydają się być gotowe do wprowadzenia rewolucyjnych zmian w szeroko rozumianej logistyce. W wyniku licznych korzyści wynikających z konteneryzacji, nastąpił znaczny wzrost tendencji wykorzystania kontenerów w międzynarodowym ruchu obrotów towarami. Zbyt intensywne użytkowanie kontenerów ostatecznie doprowadziło do nadmiernego wyprowadzania kontenerów z głównych krajów eksportowych. Stało się to bardzo istotnym zagadnieniem nie tylko dla linii żeglugowych, ale również dla całej branży. Znacznie większy nacisk został położony na zarządzanie i repozycjonowanie pustych kontenerów. Problemy spowodowane przez puste kontenery nie ograniczają się jedynie do ekonomicznych aspektów prowadzenia firmy przewozowej. (abstrakt oryginalny)

The purpose of this article is to present information of empty container problem in maritime transport, concepts and prototypes of the first foldable containers, which nowadays after many improvements and modifications seems to be ready to revolutionize market and whole branch. As a result of the numerous benefits of contenerization, there was a significant increase in the trend of use containers in the intermodal movements of trade in goods. Excessive use of containers eventually led to excessive output containers from the major export countries. It became very important issue, not only for the shipping lines but also for the entire branch. Much greater emphasis was placed on the management and repositioning of empty containers. Problems caused by empty containers are not limited to the economical aspect of leading transport company. (original abstract)
