Abstrakty
Bariery stanowią przede wszystkim: chaos terminologiczny, problem z ustaleniem aktorów gentryfikacji i wartościowaniem procesu oraz mnogość podejść badawczych i trudny dostęp do niektórych danych.(abstrakt oryginalny)

The principal purpose of this paper is to summarize the current state of knowledge about the process of gentrification in Polish and foreign literature, as well as to take the discussion about the barriers in research on this field. Paper shows the key ways of defining gentrification, explaining theories and outline the essence of the process. Undoubtedly, gentrification is becoming a relevant part of urban studies and others. The researchers note gentrification as the key factor of restructuring of the post-industrial cities. In Polish studies we can still notice a shortage of economic approaches in process analyses and lack of methodological and theoretical basics. The primal barriers in research are: terminological chaos, problem with distinction actors of gentrification, process evaluation, multiple approaches in research and difficult access to data.(original abstract)
