The study describes the structure and principles of operation of the application software package, which aids planning for furniture production. The presented program realizes procedures connected with planning manufacturing times for furniture elements constituting a series of finished products. It is especially useful in production plants where the number of types of manufactured furniture and the volume of production are growing fast. The application of such a program may prevent crisis situations in the company, which are the effect of using traditional, rather imprecise methods of planning for production. The software was developed to meet the needs of small and medium-sized companies.(original abstract)
