Challenges for the Organizational Innovation in Family Companies of Guanajuato. Case Study
Języki publikacji
Abstrakty
The research problem focuses on the analysis of a family business in the Bajío region of Mexico which faced the challenge of developing innovative ideas in their organization. The area in which it develops usually uses traditional methods that are accepted by the largest members of the family that owns the company. However, its young members are determined to implement different models of Organizational Development. The objective is to understand how the tensions originated from the difference in organizational vision are resolved in practice by recording changes in the work and family spheres. The research has a non-experimental approach with a descriptive scope; employs qualitative data collection techniques (observation and semi-structured interviews). It is a study in development, its previous results let us see that innovation is seen with less skepticism by the new generations of owners, since it is necessary to be able to compete in the market and attract new collaborators, even though it does not stop generating controversy in the process of succession. The conclusions will deal with the effectiveness of appreciative inquiry and action research in the daily and pragmatic work of the organization. (original abstract)
