Abstrakty
Kwestia zróżnicowanej integracji stanowi przedmiot ożywionej debaty zarówno wśród polityków, publicystów, jak również naukowców. Niewątpliwie zaawansowanej eksploracji wymaga jej pełne zrozumienie naukowe, dlatego celem niniejszego tekstu jest ustalenie źródeł i natury samego zjawiska zróżnicowanej integracji, przegląd głównych koncepcji analitycznych i wskazanie podstawowych mechanizmów nim rządzących. Tekst, metodą analizy deskryptywnej, oferuje również wnioski na temat potencjalnych konsekwencji postępujących procesów zróżnicowania integracji europejskiej.(abstrakt oryginalny)
Differentiated integration, as a scholarly concept as well as a real political phenomenon, gains increasing attention both in academic reflection and in the public discourse. It requires scientific exploration allowing for full understanding and explanation. Therefore this paper identifies its sources, major characteristics, it overviews its main classifications as well as it shows the basic mechanisms of differentiated integration. In its conclusive part, the paper also points to its potential consequences and sideeffects. Various concepts of differentiated integration are not treated any more as an aberration of the European integration process but its legitimate mainstream. However, it should be applied wisely and carefully since it carries some risk of desintegration for the European Union project.(original abstract)
