Abstrakty

Celem artykułu jest naświetlenie aktualnego stanu infrastruktury transportowej i potrzeb inwestycyjnych w tym zakresie w regionie Europy Środkowej. Infrastruktura ta na linii wschód-zachód uległa znacznej poprawie od momentu przystąpienia do UE. Jest to naturalny kierunek rozwoju tej infrastruktury wynikający między innymi z intensywności powiązań handlowych. Kierunek północ-południe pod względem inwestycji transportowych jest natomiast mniej zaawansowany. Choć obecne relacje handlowe na tej linii są nieco mniejsze, to jednak nie powinny być pomijane, gdyż budowa połączeń transportowych północ-południe może przyczynić się do integracji gospodarczej krajów regionu. Główną wykorzystaną metodą jest zestawienie danych statystycznych na temat obrotów w handlu zagranicznym ze stanem infrastruktury prezentowanym w oficjalnych dokumentach i na mapach. The aim of the paper is to describe the contemporary state and the investment needs of transport infrastructure in Central Europe. This infrastructure has been improved in the East-West direction after joining the EU. This direction is natural, considering the path of trade in the region. The North-South direction, on the other hand, is less developed. Even though contemporary trade relations are not that intensive in this direction, they should not to be ignored. An improvement in the transport infrastructure in that direction could strengthen the economic relations in the region. The main method is a comparison of international trade data with the infrastructure state given in official documents and maps. (original abstract)
