W artykule omówiono pojęcie zarządzania łańcuchem dostaw, przytoczono wybrane interpretacje tego terminu, zasady i metody oraz cele i korzyści z zarządzania łańcuchami dostaw. Całość rozważań dopełniono podsumowaniem. Zarządzanie łańcuchem dostaw jest zagadnieniem bardzo złożonym, wieloaspektowym i interdyscyplinarnym. W jego ramach poruszane są między innymi zagadnienia zakupów, zarządzania dostawcami, logistyki, transportu, marketingu, obsługi klienta, zachowań organizacyjnych, zarządzania sieciami, systemów informacyjnych, zarządzania strategicznego, operacyjnego i wiele innych. The article discusses the concept of supply chain management. It refers to selected interpretations of the term, principles and methods as well as goals and benefits of supply chain management. These deliberations are summarised. Supply chain management is a very complex, multifaceted and interdisciplinary issue. It covers, inter alia, purchase issues, supplier management, logistics, transport, marketing, customer service, organisational behavior, network management, information systems, strategic and operational management, and many other issues.
