Abstrakty

Celem artykułu jest próba udowodnienia, że pomimo znaczących różnic między krajami, będącymi członkami Organizacji Współpracy Gospodarczej i Rozwoju (OECD), wyzwania finansowe, stojące przed szkolnictwem wyższym, są bardzo podobne, a doświadczenia krajów wysoko rozwiniętych mogą mieć istotne znaczenie dla Polski. Niniejsza teza została zweryfikowana poprzez porównanie wysokości i struktury wydatków, ponoszonych na szkolnictwo wyższe oraz algorytmów finansowania w poszczególnych krajach, a także w oparciu o przegląd literatury zagranicznej i analizę polskiego systemu finansowania szkół wyższych. W opracowaniu szczególną uwagę poświęcono źródłom pochodzenia funduszy, identyfikując tym samym podobieństwa i różnice między poszczególnymi krajami oraz wskazując liderów i outsiderów w analizowanym aspekcie.(abstrakt oryginalny)

The aim of the article is to prove that despite the significant differences between countries which are members of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the financial challenges facing higher education are very similar, and the experiences of highly developed countries can be important for Poland. This thesis has been verified by comparing the amount and structure of expenditure on higher education and financing algorithms in individual countries, as well as on the basis of a review of foreign literature and analysis of the Polish system of financing higher education institutions. The study pays special attention to the sources of funds thus identifying similarities and differences between countries and pointing out leaders and outsiders in the analyzed aspect.(original abstract)
