Abstrakty

Artykuł opisuje udział uczelni w działalności badawczo-rozwojowej w wybranej grupie krajów. Celem badania była identyfikacja modeli R&D z perspektywy szkolnictwa wyższego oraz próba odpowiedzi na pytanie o najskuteczniejszy z nich z punktu widzenia systemu potrójnej helisy. W przeprowadzonym badaniu wykorzystano dane statystyczne OECD, których analiza pozwoliła na wyodrębnienie trzech modeli. Wykazano, że najbardziej skutecznym systemem R&D jest model oparty na biznesie, w którym w szkolnictwie wyższym realizowane są w znaczącej części badania stosowane i rozwojowe, a dominującym podmiotem R&D są przedsiębiorstwa. The article discusses the participation of universities in research and development activities in a possibly largest group of countries. The aim of the study was to identify R&D models from higher education perspective and to choose the most effective of them. Applied choice mechanism was the triple helix model. The analysis of OECD statistical data resulted in the distinction of three models. It has been shown that the most effective R&D system was the business model, with companies being the dominant player in R&D. At the same time, higher education institution focus on applied research and experiments. (original abstract)
