Based on the previous experience and subject literature, the authors, as the main research problem, verify how students of various fields of study can use market opportunities in an economic game. The data was obtained as a result of an economic game played by the students from six different fields of study during the economics classes. The research took place both at public and non-public universities from the city of Wroclaw and Cracow, at four different universities in total. The results of the games were compared based on their final result. In addition, the average scores for each exercise group, the average percentage change relative to the initial resource value and the standard deviation, the final results in each exercise group, and the impact of decision making time on the final game result were compared. Conducting the game allowed to collect data from 12 classes from the field of study at four higher education institutions. The average capital growth of all groups was 20%, the best team achieved the value of 236% of the initial capital, the worst team suffered a loss, ending the game with 79% of the initial capital. Overall, 15% of teams finished the game with a lower score than the initial one.(original abstract)
